Itel Released Two New Impressive Smartphones in April 2024

I would like to provide some context with a brief backstory. For a long time, Itel has been regarded as one of the worst phone brands in the market, often drawing comparisons with its sister brands, Tecno and Infinix. I must admit that I, too, have had a certain dislike for Itel, although the first brand-new smartphone I ever purchased for myself was an Itel device - specifically the Itel P36 Pro, which was released in 2020 but I bought mine in 2021.

At the time when I purchased the phone, it was a really good phone for what I was looking for. If you are curious about how old I was at that time, I was 20 years old, so I was just a young man making his first big purchase. The reason why I picked that specific phone at the time was because I could not purchase a Huawei smartphone (my all-time favourite phone brand) due to the ban that was imposed on the brand by the United States government.

Another reason why I chose that phone was also because of one of the phone's specifications, which was its 5000mAh battery, making it a long-lasting device; with a single charge, I could go for the whole day. The phone was also within my budget, costing $115, which I paid for in cash - not that I am bragging or anything, lol. Over time, I had more needs for my work and leisure, and I am sure this is obvious, but I am a full-time content creator.

As a content creator, I required a much more powerful smartphone capable of 4K video editing, with a larger RAM (memory), ROM (storage), a superior display, faster charging, a large battery, and a better graphics processor. In 2023, I settled for a Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro, which is the phone I have been using since April last year. The phone is excellent for both work and gaming, as I am an avid gamer, and if you are curious about the game I love to play, it is PUBG Mobile.

Itel’s First Big Spec Phone

In 2023, Itel released their first mid-spec device, the Itel 23+, which came with quite a few impressive specifications, including an AMOLED display, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, 256GB storage paired with 8GB RAM, a 50MP main camera, and a 32MP selfie camera, both of which can record videos at 1080p and 30fps. The phone also came with a Type-C charger, which was a departure from Itel's usual practice of omitting such features to make their phones more affordable.

Itel’s New RS4 Phone

This year, in April, Itel released a new smartphone that appears to be designed for gaming, as you may already know, this new phone is called the Itel RS4. However, as I have previously mentioned, the Itel brand prioritises the affordability of their smartphones, which is why their phones have impressive specifications but may fall short in certain areas.

Main Specifications:

  • Maximum Memory and Storage: 256GB (ROM) and 12GB (RAM)
  • Battery and Charging: 5000mAh and 45W wired charging
  • GPU: MediaTek Helio G99 Ultimate (suitable for gaming)
  • Camera: 50MP main camera and 8MP selfie camera

The two standout features of this phone are its incredibly fast charging and an impressive GPU, suitable for a good gaming experience. Surprisingly, the starting price for this phone is €100, according to GSM Arena.

Itel’s S24 Phone

The naming of this phone is somewhat questionable, considering that the flagship device from Samsung carries the same name - the Samsung Galaxy S24. Besides the name of this Itel device, it is a successor to the Itel S23, which was released in September 2023.

Main Specifications:

  • Camera: 108MP main camera and 8MP selfie camera
  • GPU: MediaTek Helio G91 Ultra
  • Maximum Memory and Storage: 256GB storage (8GB + 8GB) RAM
  • Display: IPS LCD with 90Hz refresh rate (smoother display)

Although the specifications of these new phones from Itel may not be impressive, especially for individuals with larger budgets, they are certainly suitable for general everyday users who do not require much from a phone. You can expect to have a great experience for your daily tasks and some casual gaming. Thank you for reading.
